Hilton Dammam Airport
Hilton, Al Musbah Group and Dammam Airports Company signed in August 2023 to build a 273-key hotel with direct skywalk access into the terminal, planned as the first internationally branded airport hotel in Saudi Arabia.
No opening date was announced at signing and none has been announced since. A listing for it exists on mapping services, which is why searches turn it up as though it were trading. It is not.
Do not plan an overnight around it. When it opens, the skywalk changes everything on this page, and this page will change with it.
Dammam City
The main cluster, strung along the King Fahd Road corridor and the Corniche, and where most airport traffic ends up. All of it is a drive rather than a transfer.
On the southern edge of Dammam in Al Manar rather than in the centre, which is what makes it the nearest hotel to the airport. A mall and fast food sit within walking distance.
The established full-service option in Al Mazruiyah, with a convention centre, a pool and a spa attached. The choice when the trip is business rather than transit.
In Al Badi, close to the Sheraton and built for extended stays. The one long-term guests come back to, and the breakfast is the reason most of them give.
A straightforward business hotel on King Fahd Road in Al Adamah, with a mall and restaurants within walking distance. Useful if you want to be able to leave the building in the evening.
On the Corniche, the largest of the cluster by some margin and the second closest to the airport. Parking is on site at the rear rather than out front, which is worth asking about at check-in.
Serviced apartments on the East Corniche with an outdoor pool, quiet enough for a proper night’s sleep. There is little in the immediate area, so plan to eat elsewhere or arrive fed.
Dammam Industrial City
South of the airport rather than east, which makes it a different drive rather than a shorter one, and about nine kilometres from Half Moon Bay. The one most travellers overlook, with rates usually below the city-centre cluster and a pool for both adults and children.
Al Khobar and Dhahran
Further again, and worth the drive only if Khobar is where you were going anyway. Treat these as Khobar hotels that happen to be reachable from the airport, not as airport hotels.
The main names are Kempinski Al Othman, Movenpick Al Khobar and Grand Hyatt Al Khobar. Al Khobar is also the departure point for the King Fahd Causeway to Bahrain, which is the one situation where staying out there rather than in Dammam makes sense.
Sleeping Airside Instead

King Fahd sits thirty-one kilometres northwest of downtown Dammam on 776 square kilometres of open desert, a site roughly the size of Bahrain. Nothing grew up around it because there was nothing there to grow around. Every hotel is back in the cities, and the boundary-to-terminal drive alone is longer than the map suggests.
